Yling was accepted as one of 8 Freshman pianists in 2006 out of 200+ auditioning candidates. She was also the only freshman in the Department Chairman, Dr. Stewart Gordon’s piano studio.

Earning consistent grade, ‘A’, at every semester-end Piano Jury, Yling’s repertoire include the following:

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma,
Inglemoor High School, Kenmore, WA, September 2003-June 2006

·         Earned full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with 4.26 weighted GPA and ranked within the top 3% of her graduating class.

·         Was in the top 5% of overall Washington State high school graduates. Additionally, Yling wrote an extensive IB research paper on the music of Chopin which was sent and graded in Rome, Italy. The paper received the highest score (7=A+) of all the submitted IB Diploma papers.

Piano Teaching Experience

Taught 5 piano students for 3 years during high school varying from elementary, high school to adult age. I restricted myself to 5 students due to the demanding academic curriculum (full International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) alongside extra-curricular activities.
